What does Silver Hire Car Service Specialise in?
Silver Hire Car Service provides luxury chauffeur transfers and specialises in: Airport Transfers, Special Events, Corporate Events and Personalised/Leisure tours.
Do I need to pre-book?

Silver Hire Car Service transfers require a pre-booking. Unlike Taxis, vehicles cannot be hailed, as we are a booking service provider. Online bookings are available and emergency bookings/enquiries can be directed to our office by calling: 0400510373

Who do I contact on the day of my booking?

Your chauffeur will send you an SMS /TEXT upon arrival to assist in the meeting point. The SMS will detail the following: chauffeur name, specific location, vehicle colour/model and registration number. When we confirm your booking, we will also confirm your personal chauffeurs contact details so you will have them handy on the day.

Can I make an online booking?

Yes, online bookings can be made via our online booking page.

Can I make a booking for someone else?

Yes, our online booking system allows you to enter the details of the passenger separate to your contact details.

How do I know my booking is confirmed?

You will receive a booking confirmation via email within 24hrs of payment of your booking. The booking confirmation will include your booking details as well as your personal chauffeurs contact details. If you do not receive a confirmation email please contact our office on: 0400510373.

How do I get a quote?

Can I book a last minute booking online?

An online booking requires at least 24hours notice to ensure availability. Emergency bookings should be directed to our customer service team on: 0400510373

Can I book a wedding or special event transfer online?

Yes however due to the additional time required to set up a wedding vehicle and the likelihood of not running on time, wedding transfers can only be booked by the hour online.

Point to point transfer prices are not applicable to weddings/formals or special sporting and concert events.

How do I book a personal tour online?

Personal tours can be booked online by the hour.

What is a meet-and-greet service?

A meet and greet service is when your chauffeur greets you or your guest inside the airport terminal with a personalised name sign.

Is there a fee for a meet-and-greet service?

Yes the additional charge is $14.00 for the Sydney International Airport Pick up. This covers the cost of signage and additional time required at the International airport terminal for the meet and greet.

What if I don’t see the chauffeur for my meet-and-greet service?

Please contact the chauffeur directly with the details we sent you upon confirmation of the booking, or our afterhour’s office on 0400510373 (24hrs).

Who do we contact when we disembark our domestic flight?

Your chauffeur will send you an SMS /TEXT upon your flights arrival to assist in the meeting point, so please make sure you have your phone switched on after disembarking. The SMS will detail the following: Chauffeur name, Specific Location, Vehicle Colour/Model and Registration number. Upon confirmation of your booking, you will also be provided with your chauffeurs direct contact number.

What if my flight is delayed, will I be charged waiting time?

No, our chauffeurs will monitor the flight arrivals board, so they will be aware of any unexpected delays. If your flight is delayed, then our chauffeurs will simply adjust their arrival time to match that of your flight in real time. The complimentary waiting time commences once your flight has physically touched down in Sydney Airport.

Is there a fee for waiting periods?

Silver Hire car Service offers the following complimentary waiting times:

  • Complimentary 15 Minutes waiting time for pick up from:
    • Domestic Terminal
    • International Airport (Please contact chauffeur once you have left customs/no later than 1 hour after flight arrival )
  • Complimentary 60 minutes waiting time for Meet and Greet pick up from:
    • International Airport
  • Complimentary 10 minutes waiting time for pick up from:
    • Suburbs

If this time is exceeded waiting time charges apply.

What forms of payment are accepted?

We accept payments from all major credit cards (3% surcharge applies). Cab Charge and Cash payments are also accepted in the presence of a credit card provided as security for the booking.

When are payments due?

For online bookings payment is due at the time of booking. Corporate accounts are governed by the agreed payment procedures.

Can I set up a direct billing account?

A corporate package account can be set up by sending an email to our corporate specialist: jacki@silverhirecar.com.au We understand all companies payroll procedures differ, so we are more than happy to discuss the best payment terms with you.

Is there a charge if I need to make a stop or change my booking?

Additional charges may apply if you change the route of your pre-booked transfer. Please discuss this with our office or your driver prior to making any changes on the day.

What is the minimum time required to make a reservation?

We prefer at least 7 days notice to ensure availability of the vehicle you require. However we can also accept emergency bookings up to the day of transfer via our customer service team on 0400510373.

Do you provide child safety seats?

Yes, we can provide Rear Facing Child Seats, Forward Facing Child Seats and Booster seats for $10.00 hire per seat. Our online booking system allows you to choose the quantity and type of seat required.

Are your vehicles insured?

Yes, all our vehicles are insured.

What are your hours of operation?

Transfers can be conducted within any 24 hour time frame. Our office is open for enquiries from:

  •  9.00am – 5.00pm Monday – Saturday
  • 9.00am – 1.00pm Sunday.

Can I book a simple A to B transfer?

Yes please use our point to point online booking system. The online booking system is ideal for airport transfers, City to Suburb or Suburb to Suburb transfers.

What is your cancellation policy?

Silver Hire Car Service requires a minimum notice for cancellations:

  • Point to Point Transfers: 5 hours (or 24hours hours if early morning next day transfer)
  • Hourly Hiring: 48 hours.
  • Special Concert/Sporting Events: 48 hours.
  • Weddings: 7 days.
  • Vehicles that seat more than 7 Passengers: 72 hours.

All cancellations made within these times will result in a full fare cancellation fee. Changes to pickup times are requested to be made with a minimum 5 hours notice to ensure vehicle availability.

Silver Hire Car Service will not charge a cancellation fee for a same day flight cancellation. Nor will it charge waiting time costs for flight delays that are outside our client’s control. Rather Silver Hire Car Service will re-schedule the booking to match the flight arrival time in real time.
